Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN), with RC Number RC1607482, was established in 2019 to address the critical gap in skilled workforce development in Nigeria and West Africa in emerging technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Our mission is to foster innovation, build capacity, and enable technological transformation in AI, robotics, and related fields.

Scholarship Opportunities (Deadline May 31st 2025)

RAIN is pleased to announce scholarships for our prestigious programs. These comprehensive one-year programs offer part tuition coverage (valued up to ₦7,700,000) for successful applicants. We offer three distinct program tracks:

Robot Development and Automation (RDA)

A hands-on 12-month program focusing on robotics design, drone technology, IoT, and embedded systems.

Program Structure:

  • Weeks 1-12: Basics of robotics, IoT, and embedded systems
  • Weeks 13-34: Advanced robotics, drone technology, and automation
  • Weeks 35-49: Real-world robotics project
  • Weeks 50-52: Evaluation and certification

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML)

A comprehensive 12-month program covering Python programming, advanced data analytics, neural networks, natural language processing, and computer vision.

Program Structure:

  • Weeks 1-12: Fundamentals of AI, Python programming, and data analytics
  • Weeks 13-34: Advanced topics in machine learning, neural networks, computer vision, and NLP
  • Weeks 35-49: Capstone project tailored to societal challenges
  • Weeks 50-52: Performance evaluation and certification

Combined AIML and RDA Program

A holistic 24-month course combining software and hardware expertise, tailored to produce multi-disciplinary professionals.

Program Structure:

This comprehensive program integrates both AIML and RDA curricula over a 24-month period, with a special focus on the integration of software intelligence with hardware implementation.

  • Module 2: Techniques for Digital Twinning
  • Module 3: Control Systems Fundamentals and PID Control

  • No accommodation provided (though RAIN can facilitate arrangements)
  • No laptop provided (16GB RAM, Core i7 recommended)
